"Dear Paula,
I feel as though I cannot let this moment pass without letting you and all the staff know our thoughts. Laurie had been with you for only seven months but Kineton Manor was home to him. Indeed a proper home, full of light and laughter. He often told me how he was looked after with such love and devotion. This extended to me, and I always left uplifted by your support. I went to London knowing that he was in such wonderful hands. He knew he could be pretty difficult at times, but then so could we all as normal life disappears. Every single member of your staff brought a whole new understanding of that overworked word care. I only wish that more people were able to have a similar experience in those latter days of life.
This last week-end was an incredible time for our family, and you have carried us through this difficult time. Our every need was catered for with such generosity and whatever time of day or night you were always there. It has been unbelievable, and Philip, Murray and I will never forget all you have done for us. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Warmest wishes."
- Joan Seccombe (The Rt Hon Baroness Seccombe D.B.E.)
"The staff looked after my grandmother with such care and attention and I cannot stress enough how pleased and thankful I am to know that she was being cared for so well. In these days when you read such horror stories about care and nursing homes, I realise that we have been so lucky in finding Kineton Manor Nursing Home. All the staff there should be commended for their work and all are examples of what a care worker should actually be. In my opinion, Kineton Manor Nursing Home is a shining example of how a nursing home should be run; the staff are excellent. I knew for certain than my grandmother was getting the best possible care that could be given."
- Mary - Ann W (Resident next of Kin)
"A kind and caring nursing home with devoted staff. A pleasure to visit. Homely, comforting and a haven for those who need constant care. I would recommend this nursing home wholeheartedly and without reservation. I thank them for looking after my mother in the last period of her life."
- Linda S (Daughter of resident)
"Kineton Manor, its matron and staff focus on all aspects of care, cleanliness and inclusion. I never tell them when I'm visiting; my mother is always clean, smart and included in activities as she wants to. Kineton Manor has taken the strain off me as a carer and allows me to have special time with my mother."
- Lucye D (Daughter of resident)
"Friends who visit always say what a good impression they have of the home - the welcome and the obvious care given to residents. I am 90 years old and have been here for 4 years come September, and I am sure that it’s the best thing I ever did. My family is very satisfied that I am happy and being cared for, as they live some distance away, and there is a very good relationship with all members of staff. Long may it continue."
- Josephine Lord (Resident)
"I always hoped that I could keep my husband at home, but it became apparent that I could not. Choosing a nursing home was a big decision, but we made an exceedingly good decision. The care and attention given to my husband cannot be faulted. He is very content and as happy as he can be in the circumstances. I class myself as exceedingly lucky to have found Kineton Manor."
- Joy Redfern (Wife of resident)
"A very caring home with a friendly atmosphere. Both residents and family members are treated with the utmost respect and regarded as family. Nothing is too much trouble. I honestly do not think a better home could be found. I leave there knowing mum is in good hands, and she is so happy and content, which is a great comfort to all her family."
- David L (Son of resident)
"To all the staff at Kineton Manor,
A huge thank you to everyone who cared for my Nan Clarice so kindly and sympathetically. It was a great support to know she was in such a lovely environment, and I don’t think there would be anywhere better for her and for my granddad Richard to have been looked after. I’m sorry I can’t thank you all individually but I just wanted you to know what a fantastic job you all do! Best wishes."
- Gemma Carman
"My dear Paula,
It is the most beautiful autumn morning as I am writing this letter. It is the sort of day on which my mother, Irene, would have loved to walk around the beautiful garden at Kineton Manor, which brought her so much happiness, peace and contentment in the last couple of years of her life.
You and your devoted staff gave her what we could never have given her at home: dignity, physical care, skilled nursing that were informed with your love and affection for her. It was not just ‘a’ home for her, but her home from home where Ken, Louise, Claire, Jonathan and myself as well as several of his friends, felt welcomed and known by so many of you.
The fact that you and Elizabeth were able to come to her funeral and join family and friends from so many decades of Irene’s life reminded us – once again – of how much you cared for her.
In due course we would like to give a bench for the garden with Mima’s name on it, to remind you of her and our gratitude for all that you do and have done for your residents past, present and to come. In the meantime with this letter our heartfelt thanks to you all."
